Eng. Giampiero Brioni intervenes by emphasizing how management control is strategic for professional firms and not merely an administrative activity. He highlights that managing a firm requires project management skills (processes, quality, communication, risk management), which are often not provided by Italian higher education, and that punctual monitoring of time and costs through techniques such as Earned Value Management is essential for profitability.
He ends by inviting professionals to be “a little less artists and a little more entrepreneurs.”
