On 10 June 2026 Soiel International gathered designers, contractors and real estate operators in Milan for the Smart Building Conference, a day of discussion on the role of data in the design and management of the connected building.
Eng. Giampiero Brioni took part in an interview on cost planning within a BIM environment. The discussion started from the role of the Quantity Surveyor and the Quantity Take Off process, before moving on to the recurring challenges of BIM workflows supporting Cost Management: interoperability between tools and the informational quality of the models above all.
The discussion reaffirmed the centrality of data-driven expertise across the supply chain, at a time when alignment between the information model and economic control has become a necessary condition for delivering complex projects.
