Beyond the 3D Model: BIM as a Working Method
Work covers all BIM dimensions: from base modelling through to 4D for schedule planning, 5D for integrated cost management, and 6D for long-term asset management. Interdisciplinary coordination and clash detection reduce inconsistencies before they reach site; Quantity Take-Off extracted from the model directly feeds Quantity Surveying analyses, ensuring consistency between design and cost control.
Document management takes place through a structured Common Data Environment (CDE), with sharing protocols defined from the preliminary phases. This reduces time and cost variance risk, supports better decisions in critical phases and enables a smooth transition from design to construction, through to as-built model delivery for future building management.
